I’m running to protect the interests of small businesses and help our Legislature find solutions to some of our oldest problems. I believe in a lean, smart government that looks for the answers by studying both sides of every issue.
LEGISLATIVE DISTRICT 13, POSITION B
Why I am Running to be Your State Representative
I am an Idaho native and small business owner. I grew up in a conservative household with six siblings. Raised by my parents, George and Shareen Keller, I was taught the value of hard-work and living a Christ-centered life. After graduating from Nampa High School, I served a two-year mission for my church in Argentina. When I returned I continued my education and received my undergraduate from BYU and my dental degree from The UCLA School of Dentistry. In May 2020 I will earn my MBA from Northwest Nazarene University. While studying at UCLA I met my incredible wife Sheree. We have been married for 28 years and have three wonderful children. As a family we enjoy the outdoors, living an active lifestyle, and serving in the community.
For 27 years I’ve owned a small business and have been actively engaged in creating jobs and helping the local economy. My business, Nampa Smiles Dentistry, employs forty-five dedicated employees between two locations. I recently partnered with three of my brothers to develop Mettle Sports, a new facility in Nampa with a vision to increase athleticism, teamwork, and opportunity for the youth of Canyon County while creating jobs and volunteer opportunities.
I mimic the beliefs of my Great ‘Uncle T’, Ezra Taft Benson, former U.S. Secretary of Agriculture. He said, “it is a firm principle that the smallest or lowest level that can possibly undertake the task is the one that should do so.” I grew up with a conservative understanding that the government is best when closest to the people. Uncle T believed that “the sole function of government is to protect life, liberty, and property,” and I will work to do just that for the people of this beautiful state. I will be a strong voice for the people of Nampa and District 13 and will work closely with Governor Little and the legislature to address the issues and protect the Idaho way of life. I hope that I can count on your support to be your next Republican State Representative in District 13.
